At the start of the century, now over 20 years ago, Lana Root turned a 40 year passion for baking and giving to others into bakery staple in Morehead, KY. It all began with Lana selling baked goods from her home and people suggesting she open a bakery. After finally listening, Root-A-Bakers was born and continues to reach people in and out of the region in new ways.

Root-A-Bakers has also become a way to give back to the community through events and actions. The bakery participates in the Arts and Eats festival where half of the proceeds go back into the community. Getting to connect with people on a personal level in the communities we serve is an honor for the whole team.
